The GEWISS Group has achieved another important milestone in its environmental sustainability strategy, obtaining the first PEP (Product Environmental Profile) Certifications for some of its products. This represents a significant step for the company which places innovation and the adoption of eco-friendly practices at the center of its essential values.
PEP Ecopassport is the reference program for products in the electrical, electronic, heating and cooling industry and is based on the LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) of the entire life cycle of the product, to evaluate and communicate its environmental impact , from the extraction of raw materials to the end of life of the product itself. PEP certifications are environmental product declarations, standardized documents that report the environmental performance of the product by analyzing its life cycle, thus allowing the pursuit of a responsible business model, which meets the needs of the market right from the design phase without giving up a concrete respect for people and the planet.
The obtaining of PEP Certifications by the GEWISS Group, which requires verification by independent third-party bodies accredited by the PEP Ecopassport® program, confirms the company's commitment to transparency and continuous improvement of the sustainability performance of its products. This result also highlights the Group's strong dedication to eco-design, a crucial aspect for building solid relationships with stakeholders and contributing to the sustainable development of the community through the creation of shared value.
