Overview

Unidex, a leading logistics provider, required a comprehensive upgrade to their warehouse lighting to meet the demands of a new operational layout. The project aimed to improve lighting levels, optimize energy efficiency, and align with the specific needs of their updated workflows and processes.
In collaboration with Velectra, a tailor-made lighting plan was developed to achieve these objectives. This bespoke plan not only addressed required lux levels but also considered the new arrangement of work functions and the operational requirements of Unidex’s processes.
 

Lighting Design and Solutions

The lighting design utilized the versatile TRY lighting series, which is available in multiple power levels. This adaptability allowed the team to customize lighting for each area of the warehouse, ensuring optimal illumination for various activities. 

Key features of the installation included:

• 2.5 km of TRY light lines: Delivering consistent and uniform lighting throughout the warehouse.
• PLATO and MANGO fixtures: Used strategically to enhance specific zones and ensure seamless integration with the TRY series.
• Energy Efficiency: The new lighting system achieves over 60% energy savings compared to the previous setup.

Outcome

The upgraded lighting not only meets Unidex’s operational needs but also sets a benchmark in energy-efficient and process-focused lighting design. The project demonstrates the power of customized solutions to enhance functionality while promoting sustainability.

With the integration of the TRY, PLATO, and MANGO series, Unidex’s warehouse is now equipped with a state-of-the-art lighting system tailored to their unique requirements. This collaboration highlights the importance of aligning lighting solutions with operational and environmental goals.
