In October 2016, the new company headquarters of Microsoft Germany opened in Munich. A new building structure with quite a few innovative concepts was created on a surface of 26.000 m². The symbiosis of digitized working environment and human characteristics called “smart workspace” create new accents for efficiency and motivation. Another approach is to originate fluent passage from occupational to private life. The so-called “work-life-flow” puts high demands on room concepts and lighting concepts which had been realized by PERFORMANCE iN LIGHTING. The client chose the filigree SL713 pendant luminaires that imposingly shape the concept of the office areas.
Thanks to the high share of indirect light this luminaire creates a very even light leading to a significant increase of well-being and efficiency of the employees. In the LEED® platinum-certification of this building the PERFORMANCE iN LIGHTING concept takes a considerable share. The conference rooms were provided with SL787 linear profile luminaires. Integrated spots accentuate the light atmosphere. All luminaires are equipped with HCL-light control. This project is based on many new ideas of a constantly changing working world in which humans are the most important part. The lighting concept that had been realized here contributes to employees being glad to work for Microsoft in Munich.
