Inaugurated in 2012 as Grand Stade Lille Mètropole and renamed Stade Pierre-Mauroy in 2013 in honour of the French Prime Minister, it’s one of the most modern stadiums in France.
A correct mix of lighting fixtures was used to lit up this high-tech architecture, 254 RAY and 50 HORO floodlights guarantee lighting that meets UEFA standards for high definition television shooting, a fundamental requirement to host matches of the EURO 2016 football championship and the French top football league, Ligue 1.
Sport and music coexist in the Pierre Mauroy stadium, this arena hosts sport events and concerts of the biggest international stars. Designed by architect Pierre Ferret, the stadium is a modern polyfunctional space that strucks for its modernity and functionality. The retractable roof plays its role: it can be opened or closed in just 15 minutes and the stadium becomes a covered space for 55.000 seats.
