The Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed Mosque is designed taking inspiration from Islamic architecture. Covering over 3.500 square meter, the mosque can accommodate more than 900 worshippers.
The building complex of the Mosque features a ground-level hall that accommodates over 500 worshippers, a smaller secondary hall, an ambient exclusively for women and a library. The building complex also includes a 1.700 square meter Quran learning school.
PERFORMANCE iN LIGHTING designed a lighting project that gives added value to the whole structure in close collaboration with the lighting designers of Extra Ordinary Lighting Equipment Trading LLC.
The vertical surfaces of the facades were illuminated with several TRACCIA inground fixtures providing a grazing light all along the perimeter. The outdoor common areas and the parking lots were lit up with THEOS installed on poles.
